ways to help

SIAR is a non profit group that relies solely on donations! Most of the animals we rescue have been passed by and left behind due to medical issues.

We believe all animals should have a chance for a good life with a loving family. In order to continue to rescue the shelter "underdogs", we desperately need your help!

Here are several ways you can help us save a life!

We are ALWAYS in need of cash donations! Some of our rescued animals cost thousands to get them to a state of wellness....from heartworm treatment, to broken bones......to skin issues, to major surgeries. Most of our animals come to us with at least minor cases of kennel cough that can also require weeks of treatment........for all of these expenses WE NEED HELP!

We know that many of you would like to help, but aren't in a position to adopt an animal. Many times we would like to rescue a shelter animal but do not have the funds to save them! We have created a special section on our site that identifies these special need and urgent animals...with the commitment of financial sponsors, it would allow us to rescue them and keep them safe until a fosterhome or adoptive home is found!

Alot of you love animals and would have several if you could afford it!! We have the perfect solution.......FOSTER!! We are always desperately in need of fosterhomes who have the room to take in a dog or cat while we search for their forever home! All needed supplies can be provided if necessary! If you provide a fosterhome, you truly will be saving a life!

Of course we LOVE to find loving homes willing to adopt a shelter animal! We do our best to match the right pet with the right home! Please fill out our adoption questionnaire so we can learn more about your home and what you are looking for - that will help us help you find the perfect pet!

We also need donated pet supplies - such as food, litter for small animals, crates, blankets, bowls, etc!

We always need help with transporting dogs to and from vet appointments, meeting transports from shelters and walking dogs that we are temporarily boarding - and on occasion we need volunteer help with adoption and fund raising events! AND OF COURSE if you can think of any other ways you might be able to help on your own, plese contact us right away!
